Service Texting Consent Process

Updated September 10, 2026

This page documents the Fix It Joe LLC customer-service texting consent process. It is not evidence that any particular customer has agreed to receive messages.

Verbal or text permission

Before starting ongoing job and scheduling texts, the representative identifies Fix It Joe and asks:

Is it okay if I text you from Fix It Joe about your job, scheduling, and when I’m on my way? How often depends on the job. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to stop texts, or HELP for help. Texting is optional—you can use phone or email instead. Our texting terms and privacy policy are available through the links on this page.

The representative waits for an affirmative answer, confirms the mobile number, and records the date, method, and response in the customer’s consent record or notes. When asking by text, the affirmative reply is retained in the conversation. A phone number in a contact list is not consent.

Customer-initiated inquiries

If a customer texts first, replies address that inquiry. Before expanding to ongoing scheduling and job updates, the representative requests permission using the wording above.

Scope and opt-out

This permission covers customer service, job details and photos, scheduling, arrival updates, and estimate or invoice links. It does not enroll the customer in marketing. A website checkbox is not currently used as a claimed opt-in method for this campaign.

STOP requests are honored, including requests in ordinary language. START can resume the same program. HELP directs customers to assistance. A broad request to stop all business texting is honored across business numbers.
